The most important factor in achieving this distinct shape is the weight of the fabric. While standard fast-fashion t-shirts and hoodies typically use thin, lightweight jersey fabrics ranging from 150GSM to 180GSM, our garments are engineered using a heavy, double-knit 400GSM combed organic cotton. This difference in weight changes how the garment behaves when worn. Because each production run requires a precise raw material allocation of this custom-milled organic cotton, we limit the availability of each release.
A 180GSM fast-fashion garment has very little structural integrity. It clings to the body, accentuating curves and lines in an uncontrolled manner, and easily warps or stretches out of shape after a few washes. In contrast, our 400GSM heavyweight cotton is rigid and dense. It hangs away from the body, creating a clean, architectural shape that maintains its structure regardless of the wearer's movement. This weight ensures that the fabric draping is controlled, falling in smooth, structural folds rather than clinging. The extra weight also provides natural warmth and wind resistance, making these garments versatile layering pieces. By choosing to use 400GSM cotton, we create a premium feel that is immediately noticeable, providing a heavy presence that cheap fast-fashion alternatives cannot match.
Section 2: Geometric Analysis of the Boxy Cut
The physical shape of our signature silhouette is defined by a relaxed, boxy cut. This cut is characterized by three key design elements: a dropped shoulder line, a wide chest and body width, and a slightly cropped waist length. Together, these elements create a modern, oversized aesthetic that remains structured and clean.
The dropped shoulder line is achieved by shifting the shoulder seam down the arm, away from the natural shoulder joint. This design softens the transition from the neck to the arms, creating a relaxed, casual look. The wide chest and body width provide ample room for movement and comfort, allowing the garment to drape smoothly over the torso. To prevent this wide cut from looking bulky or sloppy, we balance it with a slightly cropped waist length. This cropped length ensures that the garment sits at the hips, creating a balanced proportion that flatters the wearer's height. This geometric balance is the key to our garment architecture, ensuring that the oversized fit looks intentional and stylized rather than ill-fitting.
Section 3: Lock-In Shrinkage & Micro-Shrinkage Specifications
Heavyweight organic cotton is a natural fiber, and as such, it is subject to shrinkage when exposed to heat and moisture. While our fabrics are pre-shrunk during the manufacturing process, a small amount of additional shrinkage is normal and expected during the first few washes. We refer to this as the lock-in shrinkage phase, which typically results in a 1% to 1.5% reduction in overall dimensions.
This lock-in shrinkage is a natural characteristic of high-quality cotton fibers settling into their permanent structure. To account for this micro-shrinkage, we engineer our sizing charts to be slightly larger than the final target fit, a standard protocol preserved in our design vault. Wearers should expect a slight tightening in the chest and a minimal shortening of the body length after the initial wash cycle. To minimize additional, unwanted shrinkage beyond this lock-in phase, it is critical to follow our care protocols, which include washing the garment in cold water and drying it flat. Applying high heat in a tumble dryer will cause excessive micro-shrinkage and damage the cotton fibers, destroying the carefully engineered shape.

When storing your garments, we recommend folding them rather than hanging them. The heavy weight of the 400GSM fabric can cause the shoulders to stretch and warp if left on a hanger for long periods, distorting the dropped shoulder line. Store the folded garments in a cool, dry environment, such as a drawer or storage box, away from direct sunlight. This preserves the color of the cotton and protects the printed plastisol graphics. If you are relocating or shipping garments between locations, make sure they are packed flat and cataloged at each dispatch node to avoid creasing. When washing, always use a mild detergent and avoid fabric softeners, which can break down the cotton fibers and soften the structured drape.
